Treatment Options for Patients with CIDP
Support for this patient education program provided by Grifols
Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is a treatment for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). Over the course of several hours, naturally occurring antibodies from healthy volunteers are given through a vein. IVIG is the only CIDP treatment that has received FDA, Canadian and European approval, and newer preparations of higher concentrations – called subcutaneous, or subQ – are being tested currently.
Join us for a free, live video education program that will help families facing CIDP:
- Compare different treatment options with doctors
- Understand side effects of each option, and learn how they can be managed
- Make an IVIG treatment strategy in partnership with care teams
Produced in collaboration with the GBS/CIDP Foundation International – a four-star charity that was founded in 1980 to serve communities affected by Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) and CIDP – this program will provide important information to those newly diagnosed with CIDP and those already in treatment.
